Early Childhood Policy in Institutions of Higher Education
The University of Washington’s EarlyEdU at Cultivate Learning has joined a national initiative that is mobilizing higher education to train leaders in a new field: early childhood policy (ECP). The initiative, Early Childhood Policy in Institutions of Higher Education (ECPIHE), is developing a body of study that prepares students to influence, create, and inform effective policies for children ages 0-8. EarlyEdU will support an online resource hub, The Early Childhood Policy Network, to host all initiative materials, including sample content tools such as teaching modules and course syllabi. The hub will also serve as a platform to coordinate and disseminate information, facilitate exchanges across ECP faculty, conduct outreach, and offer links to relevant sites. To learn more about ECPIHE, please watch June’s Highlight Webinar featuring this new and exciting project.
