A new chapter in our school's look...

Celebrating our 25th year has so far included looking back and reflecting on where we've come from; reconnecting with our origins and the people who were a part of that. It is also an opportunity to look ahead to our exciting vision for the Gardner School's future.

Over the years, our logo has changed to match the times, and we are refreshing our look just in time to commemorate our 25th anniversary. The new logo is meant to reflect the essence of who we are today, and where we are headed as Clark County's leading independent school.

In the coming months, we will be rolling out fresh looks for key marketing and communication materials. Our website will also undergo a refresh to showcase the new logo, and we will be creating a school store for families and community members to purchase items with our new logo as well.

Our look is evolving, but our commitment to teaching children remains the same! Next week we'll wrap-up our campaign by talking about how our vision for the future of the Gardner School deepens our core values as well as integrates new knowledge and resources that allow us to remain uniquely effective at what we do.

Contribute now to our Growing Gardner Annual Fund Campaign to support the growth and evolution of the Gardner School for the next 25 years!

Behind-the-scenes of the new logo design

When I'm not playing chauffeur and chef to my wonderful kiddos (Adrienne in Mazama & Alex in Wy'East), I'm a logo designer and creative.

As a parent involved at the school for the last three years, I've taken great joy in the organic and colorful essence of the school- from the bright flowers in the garden, to the fairy houses and forts in the wetlands, to the colorful, smile-inducing artwork that covers the walls inside.
It was my great pleasure to create something for the school that reflected these magical moments of learning and creativity. And so, I did it in the most organic way I could. In Lincoln City one summer with my kids, we walked the beach and collected stones, brought them indoors, and, working at the dining table, found just the right ones to re-create one of the school's signature symbols- the Golden Spiral. I scanned these rocks, traced them digitally, and finished the design with the colors, texture, and polish that would become the logo that you're seeing today!

Like the Golden Spiral's connection to the natural world, there is a profound intelligence behind the creative, nature-based, arts- and science-centered methods of learning at the Gardner School. As the school begins a new phase in its ever-evolving story, we're honoring that profound intelligence with a more modern and polished look that will keep with the times, while also exude the spark of joy and creativity that our children bring to this space.

I'm grateful to the Gardner School for the incredible, deep learning experiences and sense of community my children get every day, and am honored to have been able to create an updated look that will help communicate that, brilliantly, to the world!

Why do we ask for your support?

The Growing Gardner Annual Fund supports our students, faculty, and programs in ways that tuition does not cover.

The fund makes up a key percentage of our budget each year and provides for additional equipment, program costs, facilities updates, teacher professional development opportunities, tuition assistance, and more. Please consider giving to this wonderful cause today!
