"What's something you've learned or that feels important to you about being at the Gardner School?"
Starting with this question, our students were invited to sketch something they've learned about this year, or images of something they can find on campus. Working on large sheets of paper, each class began using black ink to imagine, design, share, and create images that represent their experiences and visions of the Gardner School.
The concept of collaboration was a focus as students worked to use the same pieces of paper to draw, and then add color, to the shared artwork. They learned about respecting one another's ideas, saw the school through each other's eyes, and grew as artists as they worked together.
