Meet our 2022 Ray Scholar, Truman Hunt
Hey there! My name is Truman Hunt. I am the 2022 Ray Aviation Scholarship recipient. I just wanted to give an update on how my training is going. A little backstory: I had about 7 hours previously to getting the scholarship. These hours have allowed some decent progress to be made in the last few weeks. I’ve been learning basic maneuvers such has power on/power off stalls, falling leaf, turns around a point, landing configurations and take offs. My landings have really come pretty far this past week. All of these are moving along well and I’m flying anywhere from 2-4 times a week. I need to work a bunch on ground school before soloing here in a couple of weeks. I’m looking forward to that and the next phases in my training. I'd like to thank the EAA for providing this amazing opportunity, my instructors Brian and Rex who train me with my difficult schedule, Skyhawk Aviation for providing awesome planes, and finally Rene that helped me get to this point.
