EAA Chapter 58 is proud to announce that we will be awarding another Ray Aviation Scholarship.
The Ray Aviation Scholarship Fund is a scholarship program that is supported by the Ray Foundation, managed by EAA, and administered through the EAA Chapter network. Through the generous support of the Ray Foundation, the EAA will provide up to $10,000 to deserving youths for their flight training expenses.
EAA Chapter 58 is playing a critical role in the success of this program, as local chapters are tasked with identifying and recommending local youth to apply for this scholarship. The chapter has also been tasked with mentoring and supporting the scholarship recipient throughout their flight-training journey. Chapter 58 has been prequalified and is now accepting applications for review and processing. Our Chapter will only be able to nominate one candidate at a time. We estimate that the total cost to achieve a private pilot’s license will be between $10,000 and $11,000. The scholarship will be limited to a maximum of $10,000 so the student will be required to make up the difference.
2022 Application Schedule
- Application due to Chapter 58 by April 8, 2022
- Chapter submittal to National by April 30, 2022
