William Ury and Ken Cloke return!

Core is pleased to announce that William Ury and Kenneth Cloke will be joining us again this autumn. Details below.

September

William Ury joins us on 4 September for a Master Class during Collaborative Scotland's Day of Dialogue. Core is sponsoring the session, which will include a live 90-minute conversation with Ury via video link at 5.45pm. The author of Getting to Yes and The Power of a Positive No is not to be missed!

The event is exactly two weeks prior to the referendum, to encourage people to reflect on how to handle the lead up to 18 September, and to look ahead to the period afterwards–understanding the need to work collaboratively and with reconciliation in mind. The day is open to all with a number of keynote conversations with leading figures throughout the day.

To register for both the Master Class and the Day of Dialogue, and for details of the programme, go to Collaborative Scotland’s website.

We have launched our new website

We have launched our new website. It has a range of new features, including videos. The new website provides a simple portal to access Core’s experienced mediators, with the emphasis on quick response and a straightforward approach. Core’s Manager of Mediation Services, Miriam Haboubi, is available to help: miriam.haboubi@core-solutions.com and 0131 524 8188.

John Sturrock commented: “This is a natural development for Core. For 12 years, we have pioneered mediation in the commercial field in Scotland. The marketplace is now much more mature. Hundreds of solicitors use mediation, and have a good understanding of it. Most of Scotland’s leading businesses and public sector authorities, along with SMEs and many not for profit bodies, have also experienced its benefits. The time is right for Core to enhance its service to meet the needs of the current market. I am also pleased that Core’s other senior mediator, Pamela Lyall, will continue to be available through our Core Mediators service, along with Charlie Woods, Hugh Donald, Sandy Wilson and others. And we shall continue to look to create opportunities in new fields within and outside Scotland.”

For non-mediation projects and details of our flagship course, contact Jolene Robinson, our Projects and Business Manager, at jolene.robinson@core-solutions.com and 0131 524 5188.
