Over the holidays, ACMH staff have brought extra warmth to clients of our Queens Supportive Apartment program with gifts of bed sheets and comforter sets.
This year, you have helped us provide more than 1,200 vulnerable New Yorkers with safe homes to call their own. As our dedicated team of essential workers continues to advocate for individuals living with serious mental illness, while contending with the challenges presented by COVID-19, we are so thankful for the support and contributions of so many this past year.

Because of your support, so many formerly homeless adults have a roof over their head, with access to vital services to help manage their mental and physical health conditions, foster independence, search for employment, return to school, and learn other critical life skills.

Thank you for helping us support vulnerable New Yorkers this year. On behalf of all of us at ACMH, we wish you a safe, warm and happy holiday season!

There is still time to make your tax-deductible contribution for 2020.

Reasons to Celebrate

The Wilfrid

The Wilfrid, one of our supportive housing locations in the Bronx, which provides on-site services to chronically homeless adults with histories of mental illness and substance use, celebrates its one-year anniversary this month! This past year, staff have supported residents celebrating milestones such as gaining employment and earning their degrees. Other residents enjoyed learning about meditation and exercise as a way of coping with the stress of the pandemic. While we cannot safely gather to share meals at this time, we are delivering holiday meals to our residents. Heather Samuels, ACMH’s program director at the Wilfrid, summed it up: "Our staff are so excited to deliver comforting meals to each client. It is an amazing feeling and gives purpose to what we do on a daily basis.”
