Celebrating our Community

Acts of Kindness

"During the coronavirus pandemic, we often hear or read about acts of kindness in the newspaper but may never have an opportunity to witness these acts. It is refreshing to know that one of our Queens Treatment Apartment program community members has been able to create handmade masks with her limited resources and has already donated 25 cloth masks to Elmhurst Hospital and is working on her second batch for donation. She is sewing beautiful, reusable cloth masks for our healthcare workers while sheltering-in-place in her Fresh Meadows apartment bedroom."

Support Our Work

How You Can Help Our Essential Workers

Our staff have risen to address the needs of our community, assembling care packages of food, PPE, paper goods and cleaning supplies, conducting daily check-in calls, making home visits to those most at-risk, as well as providing meals and supportive counseling. Thanks to the generosity of our partners and supporters like you, we continue to provide for our staff and vulnerable client population.

Any amount you are able to contribute will make a difference to those most in need. As we continue to work long hours to safeguard the health of our community, our staff remain essential in helping to support New Yorkers with serious mental illness and ensure they continue to have safe housing.
Thank you for helping us keep (y)our neighbors safe.
