Dear FBC Friend,

School is almost out for the summer and I hope lots of good weather and family times await you. As you plan your summer events and holidays, be sure you are not taking a vacation from worship and the Word on Sundays with your church family. We are planning  a number of outreach events to show our community how much God loves them. We are also looking forward to some more upgrades to our facilities including carpeting and repaving our parking lot. Please consider giving regularly to support our church ministries. Where will you serve and connect this summer?

  • Thanks to all who serve faithfully as ministry leaders and volunteers at FBC
  • Lots accomplished at our Spring Clean Up Day
  • Attendance is growing again
  • New Family Care and Hospitality Ministry Teams started
Prayer Requests:
  • Looking for several Summer S.S. Teachers for children (see Holly Jones)
  • Four new teachers/aides for CCA in Fall
  • Meeting our giving budget to carry out planned ministries ($9,000 behind YTD)
  • New opportunities to love our community
NOTE: Father's Day worship service is at 10 am. There will be no Sunday School classes this Sunday. Nathan Robbins and family will be with us. Just for fun - Dads are encouraged to wear their favorite "Dad shirt" - maybe your team jersey, a Hawaiian shirt, whatever makes you smile!

The Crown & The Cross
The life of Jesus Christ and the Gospel is presented in a different way in each of the four Gospel books. Mark wanted people to see Jesus as the promised Messiah, the rightful king, worthy of all honor and praise. He also made sure readers saw the purpose of Jesus' going to the cross to complete God's master work of redemption.  You can read Mark chapters 9 and 10 to be prepared or watch some of the past sermons on our website.

Sunday Worship
Join us Sunday mornings at 9:30 am in person or online. You can find the service on our Facebook page or our YouTube channel. Be sure to like and subscribe so you will be notified when new content is available.
Sunday School & Bible Studies at 11 am
Sunday School and Adult Bible classes gather at 11 am following the morning worship service. In addition to children's and middle & high school classes, we have two adult Bible studies this summer. Cindi Massaro is leading the Ladies class through a study on prayer. Rich Bartkowiak teaches a class in 2 Timothy, meeting in the Fellowship Hall.

Kid's Church - Children really enjoy Kid's church on Sunday mornings during the worship service. Children from Kindergarten to Grade 4 are dismissed before the message and meet in the children's classroom on the lower level. Talk to Holly Jones if you are interested in teaching or helping in any of these areas.
Growth Groups
Do you want to grow deeper in your faith and want to get to know more people? Try out a Growth Group!

With four locations and different days and times, there is a place for you. Pick one of our groups this month and go check it out. Growth Groups meet in the homes of our church members. We enjoy eating and talking together; a time of bible study or sermon discussion; and a time of prayer. You will get to know people on a deeper level, build more friendships, and benefit from the encouragement.

Youth Group
Our youth group (grades 6-12) gathers on Sunday mornings for Bible study and fun together. Our students also get together for Youth Group on some Friday nights each month or special Saturday events. If you would like to host a monthly youth group event at your home or you would like to help contribute snacks and supplies please contact the church office.

Missions of the Month
Our missions focus for the month of June is the Robbins family - church planters in Buffalo, NY. Nathan and his family have raised their support and are making plans to move to Buffalo in September. If you know of homes in the 5 points area, please let them know.

Central Christian Academy Update
CCA is our biggest outreach ministry to serve our local community. If you would like to help the school grow and reach more families - please give generously to our annual giving drive

We are also looking for several new teachers and aides for the fall. If you know of anyone who loves the Lord and might be interested, please direct them to the CCA website. This year we are celebrating CCA's fortieth anniversary this year with the biggest enrollment yet - 75 students! Praise God for this ministry to our local community!

Need Help?
Are you struggling financially? If you need of help with picking up groceries or prescriptions contact a deacon or the church office. If you need help navigating Facebook or YouTube just ask for help. Reach out to your neighbors and offer the same. Let them know you are praying for them. Our monthly Deacons Fund offering is designated for this compassion ministry.

Get behind our Mission: Worship. Grow. Share.

Please stay faithful in prayer and giving so we can continue to provide for our staff, missionaries and on-going ministries. You can give online through PayPal, Faith Life Giving, or mail in your offering weekly. Contact the church office if you need financial assistance or help using PayPal or Faith Life on-line giving.

In Christ,

Pastor Mark Massaro

P.S. Will you pray for one or two people you can bring to church with you on a Sunday morning or Growth Group? How can you encourage someone else to take one step towards salvation or towards maturity in Christ?
