Outdoor Furniture Design Project with Architectural Elements

New designs for public spaces by the Junior ID studio students teaming up with Architectural Elements. Many of their designs are in production and installed, such as Emma Nestvold's S-Bench (above) and Zak Basher's picnic table which can be found in the Barkley Village of Bellingham. See the photo album here.

User Experience Design Project with Microsoft

The UX Design minor is a new multidisciplinary program at WWU, a collaboration between industrial design, graphic design, psychology, and computer science.  The students from each discipline takes courses in the other three fields, and then they come together for the capstone project.  Last fall they worked together to tackle problems with collaboration in the cloud. UX designers at Microsoft were mentors and advisors throughout the project.
