100% Quality

As kids (and adults) go back to school, it is a reminder that, even as adults, we are always learning, sharing and growing. We are also challenged, tested, evaluated and praised and rewarded for our efforts. Recently, HARBEC had a project that ran since 2013 with 100% inspection. This is an achievement that was made possible by not just one person, but many people. At HARBEC, quality is a company wide commitment- from kick off to send off- and every step in between. To learn more about "Delivering on Quality for High-Performance Parts", check out our latest blog.

We appreciate our readers and want to respect their time. We know that people are inundated by email and thought it might be better if we streamlined our efforts. From now on, our newsletter will be published quarterly. We regularly post on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedInGoogle+, and YouTube. Our blog will be updated more often too so please consider connecting with us. If you missed any or just want to look back, here are our previous newsletters:

Secrets of Selecting the Right CMM

Due diligence and preparation pave the way to success.

It is no mystery that process control and quality assurance in today’s manufacturing operations increasingly depend on the characteristics and performance of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). read more...

one hundred percent inspection

A process which requires the inspection of each individual unit or component received from a supplier to determine specification and quality compliance. This process is time and labor intensive and has been replaced with an alternate sampling inspection by most businesses.

Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Cycle

Also called: PDCA, plan–do–study–act (PDSA) cycle, Deming cycle, Shewhart cycle
The plan–do–check–act cycle (Figure 1) is a four–step model for carrying out change. Just as a circle has no end, the PDCA cycle should be repeated again and again for continuous improvement.

When to Use Plan–Do–Check–Act

+   As a model for continuous improvement.
+  When starting a new improvement project.
+  When developing a new or improved design of a process, product or service.
+  When defining a repetitive work process.
+  When planning data collection and analysis in order to verify and prioritize problems or root causes.
+  When implementing any change

We are experts in designing, prototyping and manufacturing products of the highest specifications, tightest tolerances and greatest quality.
