Greetings in the name of the One who “has done everything well” (Mark 7:37 - NIV84)!!

What a great reunion with so many of our Liberian co-workers and friends. Upon arrival early last month, we were blessed to reconnect with many of our Christian friends and share in their ministries.  Some of those include: the orphanage (MODUC-Mary Beh), the Buchanan School for the Deaf (Winning Way) along with multiple other contacts and preaching occasions.
Opportunities to share in the Word are varied. Some gatherings are mostly children.  Some are filled with very mature believers.  All are grand worship events.

For two weeks in January, we were blessed to have two young ladies (Courtney and Riley) work with us. In order to give these gals a taste of the various ministries in Liberia with which we are involved, we took them to different sites and provided several experiences.  From helping haul block for building a pigpen for the Deaf School to walking into a village 5 miles from Fair Shake Village to do a day medical clinic, they were able to meet a new culture, make new friends and see new ways that God can be glorified when we are obedient to His call.  We pray God will help them know best how they may obey to give Him glory.

The Agricultural Research Center (ARC) near Ganta has been doing the Farming God’s Way training for some years now.  This is one tool we want to be able to use at Fair Shake Village in coming alongside the community to encourage God-honoring, higher yield agriculture.  We have three individuals we would like to send for this training (February 27- March 1).  The training is free. That is a wonderful gift!  The cost of transportation and lodging will be approximately $110 a person.  Those of you with an agricultural interest could really help this process if the Lord should lead you to contribute to this opportunity.  If you wish to do so, email me at and let me know so that we can be sure and get everyone registered.  You can read more about “Farming God’s Way” in general at:

A general rule of thumb here is that things will take longer than you plan for them.  Many of you remember that the casting of the second floor was delayed due to equipment availability/failure and rainy season.  This set us back about 8 months!  By God’s grace, we have been able to get the second-story walls up and the roof nearly completed!!!  Phase Two will be completed when the ceiling is installed, the walls are cleaned and the pillars are dressed.  When that is finished, we will officially be ready to move on to PHASE THREE.  This includes things like door frames, doors, windows, flooring, wall sealing, plumbing, electrical, painting and furnishing.  A good portion of the funds needed for this have been given through people like you and a great deal of the materials have been bought. There is still a considerable amount to go.  We will be better able to assess that when Phase Two officially comes to an end.
Just a little bit more for the roof to be completed!!
None of this is possible without your interest, prayers and support.  Realizing how God has worked through so many of you is instantly humbling, gratifying and amazing!!!  He, indeed, does all things well!! Thank you for working with us to His glory.
We have already stayed several nights in the building when our interns were here, albeit very primitively.  We are looking forward to becoming resident at the Gathering Center soon and being more with the people in the #3 district!
