Great one-night service opportunity! We'll be collaborating with City Harvest and working with 7 of their community based partners in mini-consultancies to offer feedback on new and developing organizational initiatives including: 

 
  • Holding Hands Ministries
  • Christ Disciples International Ministries
  • The Harding Ford Vision
  • Hannah Kosher Food Shabbat Foundation
  • Brooklyn Rescue Mission
  • Co-op City SDA Church
  • Stapleton Church 
Volunteers from all professional backgrounds are welcome. Register below and we will contact you before the event to select a breakout group.
 

Join PennPAC for a Pizza Tour!


We can all use a little mid-semester break, and of course, pizza! Join us on Monday, October 25th at 6:00PM EDT in NYC (meet up details will be sent out soon) for Scott's Pizza Tour! 

Scott Wiener, founded this famous pizza tour, as well as Slice Out Hunger, a nonprofit organization that produces pizza-related events and campaigns to support American hunger relief. Slice Out Hunger is a 2020 PennPAC client and our volunteers helped them to grow their organizational infrastructure. And, now they are growing and thriving! We are so excited to support Scott and get together with all of you.

The cost of the pizza tour is $59 per person. You can pay via our Paypal me button or Venmo at @PennPAC-PennPAC. Be sure to include your name in the payment memo. 

Please note that you must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination, and be sure to bring your mask, and walking shoes. Space is limited, so register today!

This fall, PennPAC is engaged in 9 consulting projects with New York City, Philadelphia and Bay Area nonprofits including:

Nearly 60 alumni-volunteers will be working to provide strategic advice and defined deliverables to help our nonprofit clients achieve their goals.  Meet our project teams!
 
Special thanks to our Nonprofit Selection Team for reviewing all of the nonprofit applications and defining the final project scopes, as well as the Volunteer Relations Team for interviewing almost 50 applicants! 
DEIA Task Force Issues Statement 
 
The DEIA Task Force is a group of volunteers focused on making PennPAC more diverse, equitable, inclusive and accessible. We wanted to take this opportunity to update you on our work.  The group recently drafted an organizational DEIA statement that reflects the organization’s position on DEIA and affirms our commitment to this work.

This statement will guide PennPAC’s DEIA priorities.  A couple of the  important initiatives we’re looking to undertake in the coming months include: 

  • Volunteer Training: A program to train volunteers on DEIA, focusing on areas like unconscious bias, anti-racism and privilege and how these issues impact team and client interactions. 

  • Volunteer Staffing:  This would include (1) reviewing the rubric used by the Volunteer Relations Team in interviewing volunteer applications with a DEIA lens, (2) assessing how to use this data to staff teams and (3) considering how volunteers are identified for project leadership roles.  

The Task Force has also created a volunteer survey to collect important demographic data, and to learn more about volunteer experiences. This survey will help PennPAC to have a broader knowledge of our volunteer base, while providing a space to provide open and honest feedback. Your participation is greatly appreciated! The survey will take less than 10 minutes of your time. All information collected will be anonymous and kept confidential. The survey will close on November 9th.

Help Your Favorite Nonprofit Benefit from PennPAC's Expertise

PennPAC is now accepting applications for spring 2022 pro-bono consulting projects from NYC-based nonprofits. Help us spread the word! Applications will be accepted through November 8th. Organizations can be considered for a 8-10 week project or a 6-8 week mini project. All projects will launch in March 2022.


PennPAC can help with a customized project in any of these areas:

  • Marketing strategy
  • Program analysis
  • Operations strategy
  • Organization structure
  • Funding strategy
  • Financial analysis
