You're invited to our upcoming event Towards Net Zero Emissions
on Friday, 25 June
at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This event will bring together the Local Government sector and key partners to discuss the policy framework, strategic initiatives and innovative projects occurring in Western Australia to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to an energy efficient economy.
The Minister for Environment and Climate Action
, the Hon Amber-Jade Sanderson BA MLA,
will provide the opening address, highlighting the climate action undertaken by the State Government as part of the Western Australian Climate Policy
Topics covered will include:
- Policy context and Local Government leadership toward net zero emissions;
- Energy efficient streetlights;
- Electric vehicles;
- Distributed Energy Resources Roadmap;
- Virtual Power Plant Program;
- Standalone Power System;
- Environmentally sustainable design and,
- Emissions offsetting.

A WALGA Preferred Suppliers exhibition will provide information on products and services available to Local Government to assist meet emissions reduction and renewable energy targets.
