We made a mistake! The Gala is on Thursday, April 25!
We are excited to announce that registration for the LUCES 2019 Gala has officially opened! Our annual LUCES Gala will be on April 25 from 6-8:30 pm in Regents Hall of Lewis Towers, which is on the downtown campus. The Gala is the last LUCES event of the academic year and is a proud celebration of the community.
Every year, we have a theme that is thoughtfully reflected throughout the event. This year’s theme is a surprise -- you have to register to find out the theme and the color significance of the event.
Also in attendance will be undergraduate students, graduate students, staff and faculty of color (and guests) who are a part of the LUCES community. The dress is semi-formal. Doors open at 5:45PM. Dinner will be provided with diet preferences accommodated.
It would be an honor to have you all join us at our last big event of the academic year! We hope that you will be able to join us. Please RSVP via our form below to reserve your space and gift! The RSVP form, where you can tell us your dietary choices and sizes for the Gala gift, will close on March 26th. RSVP here: https://goo.gl/forms/rsqXSYJ55FtEVgu32
Do you want to see your artwork featured on this year's cover of Kaleidoscope?
Submit to our cover contest for your chance! We are seeking self-identified artists to submit 1-2 pieces that they feel connects to this year's theme Resiliency of Love. We will be choosing a piece based on relevancy, fit, and creativity. Deadline to submit is Monday, March 11th at 5pm.
Theme Description: What is the content of love? Love encompasses a multiplicity of experiences; a kaleidoscope of moments which create the fragmented portrait of our loves. Join us in creating a multifarious sight on love in this year's edition of Kaleidoscope!
Please reach out to Tristen Hall at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions!
