News from ECOE (June)
So a week after the referendum and we're all facing a BREXIT UK. How to knit together the deeply visible divide that has been strengthened by the campaign? I don't think anybody has the answer for that yet. And what will be the effect for community energy?

Our work has been continuing and we have a bumper edition this month with updates on our AGM on June 7th, Solar PV 1 and 2, our new renewable heat project and lots of other news and events that may be of interest to you.

ECOE's AGM on June 7th 2016
A big thanks to all of you who came along to our interactive AGM and a sincere apology to those of you who didn't receive our notifications. Hopefully our mailing list is sorted now.

Read more about it and find all of the relevant papers and power point presentation here.
Good News from Solar PV 1 and 2!
After lengthy delays, the installation at the Technology Centre seems at last to be about to start. The pre-installation meeting took place this week and we heard that all of the remaining edits for the lease and PPA have been agreed. Hopefully the scaffold will be going up next week. This is a large roof, 150 kWp, so it will be a real asset for our portfolio.

We have also sent out an invitation to tender to our preferred installers for the next three sites:
 - Pinhoe Road Baptist Church (Solar PV 1)
 - Glasshouse Lane Medical Centre (Solar PV 1)
 - Jubilee Hall, Swimbridge (Solar PV 2)

We will award contracts in July and installations will be completed in August. We hope!

More News from ECOE

ECOE - Heat Project
In May we found out that our application to UCEF was succesful. We have received a grant of almost £20k to explore the feasibility of a community renewable energy generation project in Exeter.

We're making plans and starting to contact potential partners. Its early days yet. Whats ahead is preparing an information leaflet, organising an educative event, researching legal agreements, creating a financial model and putting together a new business plan.
