ABSIA Forum 

The next ABSIA Conference will be held in Melbourne on the 7th of September 2016. ABSIA have some exciting speakers lined up and are expecting the focus topic of entrepreneurship to provide a real opportunity for smaller software developers and start-ups to build their networks and partnerships with those established in the industry. To assist you in consuming the latest government webservices offerings such as Single Touch Payroll (STP) ABSIA’s next forum will feature an ebMS3 expo. ebMS3 solution providers and government technical staff will be on hand to help you decide on building, buying or partnering in the ebMS3 space.

Foreign Employment Income Workshops**

Payroll Special Interest Group (SIG)***

At this morning’s webinar the SIG finalised the collation of the collective feedback in responding to the ATOs technical documents provided to the software developer community for review as per the approach agreed in the last webinar. Members of the SIG can view the cover letter and final documents at the STP Feedback Webinar Planned for Friday 22 July Forum*

E-Invoicing

The e-invoicing framework has been approved by the Digital Business Council (DBC), final documentation is being prepared for release to the general community. Engagement and pilots are intended to begin as soon as possible to establish a proof of concept. Imported Digital Services

ABSIA is engaging with the ATO as work moves towards preparation of industry for Imported Digital Services. From the 1st of July 2017 GST will apply to international sales of digital products and services provided to Australian customers, meaning overseas business will be required to pay GST on these sales.  A Special Interest Group (SIG)**** will be created, please email your expression of interest to participate to info@absia.asn.au
