ABSIA Forum - 7th September 2016 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).

Foreign Employment Income Workshops*

ABSIA Quarterly Webinar

The ABSIA Quarterly Webinar was held on the 4th of August 2016. The ATOs web services delivery team provided updates on several projects and initiatives. Payroll Special Interest Group (SIG)**

The ATO has thanked ABSIA for the depth of feedback provided and scenarios provided. Suggestions are being considered and further information about the next steps towards progression will be provided shortly in the ABSIA Single Touch Payroll Feedback Webinar Online Forum.**

E-Invoicing

The e-invoicing framework has been approved by the Digital Business Council (DBC), final documentation is being prepared for release to the general community. Engagement and pilots are intended to begin as soon as possible to establish a proof of concept. A Special Interest Group (SIG)*** will be created, please email your expression of interest to participate to info@absia.asn.au

Imported Digital Services (IDS) SIG**** 

ABSIA Members are invited to express interest by email to info@absia.asn.au  in a new SIG for international sales of digital products and services to Australian consumers which will begin to attract GST from the 1st of July 2017. The ATO is looking to work with ABSIA in identifying impacts to industry. The SIG will look at the preparatory work needed to assist Australian business software providers who provide or are looking to provide an eCommerce capability globally.

Practitioner Lodgment Service (PLS) - ELS2SBR

Notes from the PLS - ATO and ABSIA consultation meeting 9 August 2016 have been posted to the ABSIA Practitioner Lodgment Service (PLS) - ELS2SBR Online Forum , outcomes will be published by the ATO soon. The next meeting is scheduled for the 6th of September, 2016.
