Emre Natural Foods

Say hello to Emre Natural Foods!

"Hi! My name is Sara Beth Ertugrul, and my family owns and operates Emre Natural Foods and our production facility, the Hellim Cheese Factory, in Stroud, OK!  We make traditional Cypriot cheeses, and this is our third year at the Tulsa Farmers’ Market.

My in-laws emigrated from Northern Cyprus, and in 2014 incorporated the Hellim Cheese Factory with a dream to produce hellim grilling cheese, the staple cheese of their country and childhoods, here in America.  We decided on the name Emre Natural Foods, named after their first grandson, my sweet son, Emre.

You can find us serving up hot samples of our hellim grilling cheese (both original and spicy) every week at the market.  My mother-in-law Murude worked every market with me until this year, and we’re all hoping to have her back again next year.  She perfected our cheese recipes and oversees the cheesemaking process at our facility.  Additionally, she has more delicious ways to use hellim and our (soon to be world famous) nor ricotta than anyone else we know!

Stop by, say hello, and try some cheese next time you find yourself at Kendall Whittier on a Saturday morning.  We LOVE being a part of the Tulsa Farmers’ Market, and can’t wait to see you there!"
