Say hello to Roark Acres!
"Roark Acres Honey Farms is a family owned and operated business in Tulsa, Oklahoma. You can find us around the state selling pure raw Oklahoma honey, flavored creamed honey, various infused honey, bee pollen, beeswax, beeswax candles, honey candy, handcrafted soap, lip balm and lotion bars. In the spring, we even sell bees.
At Roark Acres we try to utilize everything the bees have to offer. We are continually adding new flavors of creamed honey, new fragrances of lotion bar, new flavors of lip balm and often brand new products to our line up. We have some exciting new health & beauty items in the pipeline (even for our men too!) but our most recent & popular addition is Honey Soaked Pecans. We can’t keep them in stock.
When I say family owned & operated, it is exactly that. Michael started keeping bees about 8 years ago, with 2 hives to be exact. After his first season with the bees he fell in love & knew he could make something out of it. He talked with me & came up with a 5 year plan. But the 5 year plan became a right now plan when later that Spring he found out he was going to be laid-off.
Such a blessing in disguise, Michael went & worked with a local commercial beekeeper full time for almost a year. He worked hands on, learned & studied everything he possibly could about Honey Bees & in less than 8 years turned 2 honey bee hives into over 1000.
The funny thing about honey that we find is most people enjoy it not just because of how it tastes, but how even the smell takes them back to great memories they shared with a grandpa or grandma. And there really isn’t anything much better than that." - Amy Roark, Queen Bee
