Leadership APS
Families took part in Leadership APS this school year. They had the opportunity to hear from Superintendent Munn's leadership team throughout the year regarding the progress of the district. During meetings, families got to ask questions and share feedback. Opportunities like these for families and district officials to interact and engage in discourse with one another are incredibly important.
Community Organizing
On March 3rd, RISE celebrated the work of the Burmese, Karen, Karenni, and Nepali communities for the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Organizing Coalition. The families of Aurora have worked hard for language and translation services in APS. Thank you to APS Chief Communications Officer, Patti Moon and Language Services Coordinator, Efren Ortiz who have been collaborating with parents and students to co-create materials to improve interpretation and translation services for APS families. RISE Parent Leaders and students enjoyed celebrating along with Patti and Efren.
