Passing through the Red Sea in Every Season - "Why you crying? Move forward, lift up your staff and stretch your hand over the sea" (Exodus 14:15-16)
Passing through the Red Sea in Every Season "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move forward, lift up your staff and stretch your hand over the sea and divide it so the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground."(Exodus 14:15-16)
Then the Lord said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move forward, and as for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground."(Exodus 14:15-16)
After many warnings and ten plagues upon the Egyptians Pharaoh finally released the Israelites out of slavery. The tenth plague had broken Pharaoh and the Egyptians as they mourned the loss of their first born sons. Moses and Aaron quickly ushered the children of Israel, other ethnicities that wanted to go with them, and their sheep, goats, and cattle out of Egypt to go before the Lord and to worship. God had equipped his children for battle and led them through the desert toward the Red Sea.
When Pharaoh heard that they were in the desert near the Red Sea he changed his mind and took his best soldiers and chariots of Egypt to pursue the Israelites. When the Israelites saw Pharaoh and his army marching after them they were terrified and cried out to the Lord because they were surrounded by water and no place for them to go. But Moses told them to not be afraid and to stand still because the Lord would fight for them but the Lord said to Moses, why are you crying out to me? Tell them to move forward, lift up the staff that I gave you Moses and stretch out your handover the sea to separate the water from the land so you all can pass through. And Moses did as the Lord instructed and the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land and the children of Israel went through the sea on dry ground with a wall of water on their right and on their left. (Exodus 1- 14)
What army is pursuing you? What army has you in bondage? What Red Sea do you have to pass through in order to get healing, freedom, andvictory? When the Red Sea is before us and the pursuing army of lies, bondage, addiction, fear is behind us, the only way to meet this distress is to trust God and move forward. The enemy will say if you take a step into the Red Sea you will drown in this ocean but baby God's reputation is on the line and when you trust him he ain't gone let you drown.
When at the Red Sea we are quick to stand still because we are looking at how massive this Red Sea is, how fearful this health diagnosis is, how difficult it is to break this addiction, how hard it is to walk away from this toxic relationship, but God will never lead us to the Red Sea without equipping us with what we need in order to pass through it. The Lord says to move forward, lift up the staff, and stretch out your hand over your Red Sea.
When at the Red Sea we are to move forward. While Moses and the Children of Israel was standing at the Red Sea petrified, Moses said stand still but God says move forward. Move forward and "Trust in the Lord with all your heart for healing when the health report is given, do not lean on your own understanding on how God will heal you or work it out, but in all your ways acknowledge the Creator, the Master Physician for who he is and he will bring the right doctor, surgeon, healing and make a way for you that you could not see before" so you can pass through the Red Sea. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
When at the Red Sea we are to lift up the word of God. God gave Moses a staff to lift up and to perform miracles and today our staff is the word of God, and God's word is quick, powerful, living, active, andsharper than any two-edged sword. For His word can cut through our spirits and souls and through our joints and marrow until it discovers the desires and thoughts of our hearts to build our faith, strength, and determination to pass through the Red Sea. (Hebrews 4:12)
When at the Red Sea we are to stretch out our handover the obstacle, over the illness, over the fear, over the pain, over the Red Sea in our lives to divide what is truth and of God and what is false and of the enemy so you can confidently pass through the sea on solid ground because the Lord is our rock, our fortress, our savior, our shield, and our refuge(Psalm 18:2), God says, "I Am will be with you when you pass through the Red Sea of difficulty, they will not overwhelm you, I will not let you drown."(Isaiah 43:2)
When at the Red Sea, reminds me of this powerful song, He Rebuked the Red Sea byDonald Lawrence and Tri-City Singers featuring Sheri Jones-Moffett and Kristen Lowe, "The Ancient of days still making ways, no challenge are impossible for God, the same God of Israel can dry up your sea, so you can cross over, God has made plain the way, God pledges to prosper you, He rebuked the enemy, he rebuked the Red Sea, and the waters dried up like a desert."
When at the Red Sea, remember that "I Am" is making the way for you and rebuking every Red Sea in your life so you can pass through confidently knowing that God has sent his wall of angels to cover you on the right hand and on the left as you pass through the Red Sea.
I pray that you move forward, lift up the word of God and stretch out your hand so you can pass through the Red Seain every season! Now, back to my season business unless Jesus bids me to come and post another message!
Many Blessings upon you and yours - sincerely, Danielle Smith
