AUSTSWIM Aqua Guidelines and the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operation (GSPO)
Aqua is a natural fit for AUSTSWIM and to further consolidate our advocacy and responsibility for aqua professionals we have been:

- Providing strategic advice for updating the Aqua Guidelines for the GSPO’s
- Initiating detailed AUSTSWIM Aqua Guidelines for all instructors.
A little note, but a BIG thanks to the dedicated group of aqua professionals who gave freely of their time in the development of these guidelines; it’s great to see the AUSTSWIM Aqua family sharing.
The YMCA Swimathon is a national fundraiser which will be held at 60 YMCA managed pools across the country on Sunday 1 March from 11am -12am to support people with disabilities experience how fun it is to swim and be safe around water!
The YMCA Swimathon encourages people of all ages and abilities to splash out for a great cause because too often those in our community with disabilities are missing out on the chance to enjoy safe access to water and swimming, due to a lack of access to swimming lessons, pools and specialist equipment.
This year we aim to raise $250,000 to support more than 1,600 people with disabilities access the water.
