Premio di Esordio 2015 "Elio Matassi" a Leonardo Caffo

Il 20 giugno 2015, Frascati (ROMA) - Leonardo Caffo riceve il Premio Nazionale Frascati Filosofia “Elio Matassi” (Premio Esordio ed. 2015) in merito al suo lavoro scientifico. La cerimonia avrà luogo Sabato 20 Giugno ore 18.30  presso l’Azienda Principe Pallavicini in Via delle Marmorelle 1238.

Dibattito con Maurizio Ferraris: la filosofia deve misurarsi con la realtà.
Maurizio Ferraris dialogherà con Pascal Chabot, filosofo e docente à l'Institut des hautes études des communications sociales (IHECS) di Bruxelles.

Edito nel 2012 in Italia da Laterza e subito tradotto in più lingue, il Manifesto del nuovo realismo di Maurizio Ferraris, ha suscitato al momento della sua pubblicazione un putiferio di polemiche nel mondo dei filosofi. Oggi, a tre anni di distanza, sono forse più mature le condizioni per riprendere con maggior serenità la discussione sul tema “nuovo realismo” e sul significato della proposta filosofica di Maurizio Ferraris.

La verità è una nozione inutile? Tutta la realtà è socialmente costruita e infinitamente manipolabile?
Sono alcune delle domande chiave a cui il Manifesto del nuovo realismo cerca di portare nuove risposte, ricordandoci che “la sacrosanta vocazione decostruttiva che sta al cuore di ogni filosofia degna di questo nome deve misurarsi con la realtà, altrimenti è un gioco futile; e che ogni decostruzione senza ricostruzione è irresponsabilità”.

Complicity is a state of being complex or involved, and no matter where we are, or what we do, law is part of our entanglement in the world. This conference will explore law’s complex relations with culture, politics and capital. It will investigate law as an accomplice, as well as law’s role in shaping (and resisting) problematic moral, political and material positions.

Submission procedures and deadlines:
Graduate students should send a 500-words abstract, prepared for blind review, as an rtf, doc, docx, odt or pdf attachment to:failedsynthesis2015@mail.com. When submitting, please include the following information in the body of the email: author's name, presentation title, abstract, university affiliation.
Deadline for submission is June 30th, 2015. 
A scientific committee will select the presentations. Notifications of acceptance will be sent on July 30th, 2015. The conference program will be announced by September 30th, 2015.
The best papers will be published in a monographic issue of a specialized journal.

Call for Papers
Application and abstract of presentation (recommended length is 2–3 pages or 500–1000 words) or full text of the paper (not exceeding 5000 words) in English or Russian should be submitted by the 10th of August, 2015. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to select papers for participation in the Conference. The acceptance will be communicated to authors by the 30th of August, 2015.
An application containing applicant’s full name, affiliation, contact information (e-mail, phone, post address) as well as information on mode of participation (personal or virtual) should be send to the following e-mail address: sergtroy@yandex.ru. When an application is received, the Committee sends to an applicant a letter confirming its receipt and containing invitation (in case of personal participation).

The XVIII Summer School in Philosophy of Physics will dedicate its last session (September,11th) to the presentation of original papers in philosophy of physics. We invite Grad students, Post-Graduate students and early researchers alike to submit an abstract (no longer than 1000 words) suitable for blind review to:
No later than 15th July.Preference will be given to papers dealing with different aspects of Einstein’s work.
The subject line should read: "Submission XVIII Summer School in philosophy of physics”.  Papers should be sent as a pdf file together with a title page containing info about the author(s).
