Art During Lockdown 18 November 2020
Wolf Suschitzky Photography Prize 2020

Last chance to apply now for the Wolf Suschitzky Photography Prize, an opportunity by the Austrian Cultural Forum London (ACF) in tribute of the prolific Austrian émigré photographer and celebrated documentarian of its namesake. Emerging photographers from the UK and Austria are eligible to apply to the theme "Life in 2020" for a chance to win two top prizes, including €500 cash prize and 2-week residency each for an Austria-based and UK-based artist, in London and Vienna respectively.

Online Events of the Week

How is it that this second lockdown is going by so fast yet so slowly? We're not sure how time works anymore, but we know that at some point between the next two weeks and next two decades, lockdown will end. Until then, arts producers have been busy creating online programmes to partake in. This week, view the Virtual Lectures by Frank Wasser on Death of the lecture by Pallas Projects, attend The Black Saint & The Sinner Lady by Charles Mingus, a listening party with world-class dancers moving to the music, Digital Weekender 2020 by Watermans with a programme of live-streamed performances, workshops and more, and Driving the Human, a festival by Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe.

Outdoor Art in London

If you're in London and fancy going for a walk with some socially-distanced art, our feature list brings you on a tour of time-limited art to see in the British capital. Find sculptures, see paintings on your way to the Tube, view installations on the outside of buildings and more. Discover art beyond walls this week as galleries and museums remain closed.
