|Stay Home and See Art|
You'd think we'd be better at this whole lockdown thing now that we're in its second iteration, but if anything, all the novelty has worn off and we're just waiting in exasperation for it to end. Still, staying home whenever possible is important for our collective wellbeing, so we've found ways to keep ourselves busy. One such way is to take some deep dives into online art events.
Our roundup this week includes an exhibition that takes place in space (imaginary outer space, not virtual). Plicnik Space Initiative proposes an exhibition aboard the D02.2 spacecraft that showcases artworks that challenge the functionalities of institutional practices. Also worth seeing is Jude Wacks: A Lifetime’s Work, an Instagram exhibition that celebrates family businesses in the London Borough of Brent. And for new online events opening this week, see Peer to Peer: UK/HK an online exhibition of inspiring exchange between the UK and Hong Kong, and You Are Here, showcasing 50 artists from around the world on the theme of maps and mapping.
