Not just another COVID-19 announcement

In light of the current situation around COVID-19, and as we collectively practice social distancing and societal care, many art spaces are temporarily closing their doors to the public. We have every hope that we'll come out on the other side of this with a diary full of events and exhibitions we've had to put off, making up for all the art we didn't get to experience during these weeks. In the meanwhile, if you do intend to visit an art event, we advise that you first check with the organisation to see if they're still open, and see the advice of government and health officials.

And now that the boring (but necessary) stuff has been said, we wanted to offer you respite from self-isolation boredom in the way we know best: with art and culture, and the power of the internet. We believe in the importance of real-life experiences and will continue to champion this when it's the right time again. Until then, click through to access some fantastic art-related activities you can engage in from the comfort and sanctuary of your own home. See our list of art-related media to consume, resources to help you prep your art career for when all this is over, ArtOpps to apply to, virtual museum tours to attend and more.

  Stuck in self-isolation?

Nothing beats the immediacy of seeing art in person, curated with care to convey an experience within a shared space. We at ArtRabbit will always favour real-life experiences, but as we collectively practice social distancing in an effort to quell the spread of COVID-19, we looked for some boredom-banishing alternatives to attending art exhibitions and events IRL. Read on to experience some of the best art you can lap up in the throes of self-isolation, and get a healthy dose of culture without ever leaving your bedroom.
