The rarest of the rarest birds

We received recently many new images of Dubi Shapiro of some extremely rare and rarely photographed species and we are still processing the many images of Pete Morris and James Eaton we received some time ago. Dubi is travelling a lot to the remote corners and islands on our planet to find and photograph bird species that are rarely photographed. Pete Morris and James Eaton are renowned bird tour leaders with a crack for finding and photographing world's rarest bird species, some which even haven't been seen in decades.

In our quest to provide all the bird species of the world, we have currently a huge number of bird species online that are on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.

In this newsletter a selection of the critically endangered bird species we have currently online. From birds species in the endangered and vulnerable section of the IUCN list we have many more species online. All images that are online can be viewed here. More rare and threatened bird species will be added soon, including many images of New Zealand and its Subantarctic Islands.

We hope you like the images as much as we do and have a great time browsing through the images of these beautiful birds for which many people in this world are working very hard to save them.

Regards,
Marc, Roy & Wil
