BODY: Curtis Campbell, Tuskegee University Athletic Director announced the full 10-game broadcast schedule on Internet Radio Station, www.stevesoulradio.com.
The Golden Tigers Sports Network makes its return to the air waves (via the world wide web) after a 15-plus year absence. The broadcast team is led by veteran HBCU Play-by-Play Announcer Jonathan Spells, with 30 plus years in the broadcast booth. This is Jonathan’s second stint with “The Golden Tigers”.
Joining the team is rookie color commentator Richard Moncrief. Richard is no rookie when it comes to football, having played Quarterback in the ACC at Clemson. The network’s engineer is veteran broadcaster and Macon County native Mel Marshall.
The Golden Tigers Sports Network is developed and produced by Events Promotions LLC of Montgomery. Events Promotions LLC CEO Steve Myers was the first Tuskegee Institute football broadcaster on WBIL in the early 70’s.
The full 10 game schedule, sponsored by McDonald’s of Tuskegee, starts on Saturday September 6th:
