The "Walk On A Loose Leash" Class is Back!!

Now that the wet season has ended, it is the perfect time enjoy long walks with your dog. But I am aware that many of you are finding it difficult to keep the leash loose when walking with your dog on a leash. But, don't worry. I can help!!

Yes, we cover LLW (Loose Leash Walking) in Pre Beginners and Good Manners Beginners Classes. But, for strong pullers to learn not to pull the leash, you need to practise it more intensively. So, we have decided to bring back the Walk On A Loose Leash Class that we offered last December!

This year, in addition to classes on set dates, we offer individual sessions on demand for those who cannot make those dates. If you are interested, please register your interest. Once two or more people have registered interest, we will offer sessions for them together at a time and date that suits them. Of course, you can always book private sessions too!

New "Good Manners Beginners Class" has started!

Our new class for dogs who have had some training has started with two students, George and Kuri. George is a graduate of a previous Pre Beginners Class. Kuri has attended a puppy class at a different school. As both already have basic behaviours, they are going to learn to be a good canine citizen in the community.
George and Kuri, both with pretty laid back personality, are likely to be good friends as they train together!

Let us introduce new students of the Pre Beginners Class!

The tiniest student Brew joined the Pre Beginners Class with his older sister Roxy.

Rolley who loves toys enjoyed running around with a Puller. See him in a video!

The youngest student Elijar impressed everyone, demonstrating many tricks. See his tricks!

Trick "and" Treat!

Were you wondering where our tricks classes had gone? Well, during the wet season it was just too hard to schedule tricks classes. But, now that we are well into spring and the festive season is coming soon, we will need to learn more new tricks to show our guests at parties!! So, we are offering one-day Beginners and Advanced tricks workshops in November!

*) If you are not sure which level your dog is, see this blog post.

Mint and I performed at Pet Expo!

In the last newsletter I let you know that Mint and I were going to perform at Pet Expo. We did!
The lucky winner of the free tickets, Eden, came to watch and support us with her friend on Saturday the 28th. She even videoed us dancing with our friends, Susan and Solace. Thank you Eden!! We did better on Sunday but it was really nice to see it!

It was my first Pet Expo without my dearest dancing Beagle, Cinnamon, who had been a semi-finalist on New Zealand's Got Talent in 2013.

It was my first Pet Expo where we demonstrated Obedience exercises too! I think Mint did really well considering that it had been a year since he retired from all competitive dog sports. See a video of our demo!
