It’s raining cherries on our homepage right now. Wanna know why? Well, it’s a super exciting month for us here at the hive because we launched a fantastic new flavor: Black Cherry! It’s the perfect combination of tart and sweet. Did you know that black cherries have a lot to offer for health benefits? They contain antioxidants, melatonin, potassium and other nutrients that reduce inflammation. Fun, flavorful and functional! Oh, and our beloved bees pollinate cherry trees. This month, our new Black Cherry can be found at Cost Plus World Market, GoPuff.com and at meandthebees.com. It will be available at additional retailers around the country by the summer, just in time for lemonade season! I hope you love it as much as we do!
MAKING BLACK HISTORY BY INSPIRING ENTREPRENEURSHIP
I will always be passionate about saving the bees through education, research and protection. But, did you know that inspiring other young people to pursue social entrepreneurship is also my passion? In celebration of Black History Month, I’ll be collaborating with World of Money nonprofit to fund and teach a new youth social entrepreneurship workshop.
Through my nonprofit Healthy Hive Foundation, I’m excited to inspire the next generation of change-makers. I will donate a percentage of the profits from the sale of each bottle of Black Cherry Lemonade over then next month to help empower the future youth to change the world, one idea at a time. Do you know a future changemaker? Share an email address, name and age HERE and we'll be in touch!
CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY
This month, it’s SO very cool to see Me & the Bees being celebrated as a Black-owned supplier partner at retailers around the country! I’m grateful that they are spotlighting our lemonade and other amazing Black-owned business products. We are humbled to be in the mix with such quality brands. Here are a few spotlight examples:
AND THE CELEBRATION CONTINUES WITH ACTS OF SERVICE
I’ll be celebrating Black History Month by co-facilitating a session entitled “Boss Moves” on February 18 for Black Girl Freedom Week to engage with participants who are on the brink of becoming a boss so everyone can learn about their brilliant business ideas and what it takes to go from having ideas to running a business. And, I’ll be working with teachers and students at several elementary and middle schools across the country by popping into classrooms virtually to help inspire future budding social entrepreneurs.
