Members,

As you are all aware, our 2020 Hollydays will be a hybrid event featuring a virtual market and limited in-person events such as Saturday with Santa and the Gala. Below is important information to provide clarity on meeting your fundraiser volunteer hours requirement for 2020.

How will I meet my fundraiser volunteer hours requirement?

For 2020 only, we are providing members the option to sell additional Mercedes raffle tickets to satisfy their fundraiser volunteer hours. Each additional full $50 packet is the equivalent of two fundraising volunteer hours. In addition to your $50 Hollydays raffle ticket requirement, members now have the option to sell up to four additional packets of Mercedes raffle tickets above their standard Hollydays raffle requirement. To fulfill the volunteer hours, you will need to sell five full $50 Mercedes raffle ticket packets - one for your standing requirement and four to meet your fundraiser hours. Active members in their 7th and 8th years still have the option to sell Rolex tickets to meet their hours.

Because of the limited capacity for the gala, for 2020 only, members who sell additional raffle packets will NOT receive complimentary gala tickets.

Please sign up by August 31st on your Member Homepage with what option you would like to complete to fulfill your fundraiser volunteer hours. There are limited in-person volunteer opportunities for those members who are comfortable doing so such as distributing raffle packets, Hollydays special events and Touch A Truck in the spring.

Finally, the top 3 members who sell the most tickets will receive a really great prize!

Can you help me sell my tickets?

Yes! Peer to peer fundraising is a skill that we want our members to add to their toolbox. The Hollydays team is hard at work putting together an easy to use packet with talking points and graphics that can guide you on how to sell raffle tickets including how we use our fundraising dollars. We’ll be posting these same items to our JLBR social media pages (Facebook/Instagram/Twitter) that you will be able to share directly from if you choose. Be on the lookout for an email toward the end of the month for our raffle ticket campaign.

How do I get my tickets?

When you sign up to sell raffle tickets, you can pick-up them up at the League Office at one of the times listed below. A JLBR member, in appropriate PPE, will give you your raffle tickets through your passenger window. You will not need to leave your car to pick up tickets.
  • Friday, August 14 - 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday, August 15 - 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Sunday, August 16 - 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Friday, August 21 - 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday, August 22 - 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Sunday, August 23 - 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Can people buy tickets online?

Tickets can be purchased online at shophollydays.org/raffle. Be sure if you are selling tickets to fulfill your fundraiser hours that buyers include your name in the “Insert League Member who sold you ticket” box. If they don’t include your name, you can’t get credit! We cannot go back and add it in. It is highly encouraged for members to sell the physical tickets to ensure they receive credit.

How do I know if someone bought a ticket online with my name?

The raffle committee will share with members periodically how many tickets have been bought in their name. The committee does not have the capacity to respond to members’ individual requests for this information.
