Update on roles for HMS in residential Canvas August 19, 2022
Hello school liaisons,
This fall we are welcoming HMS and its MD program into our residential Canvas instance from their own separate, HMS instance. They have mapped as many of their unique HMS roles to our existing roles as possible. To support the migration of their courses, we will be adding two new roles to residential Canvas early next week:
Teaching Faculty
Evaluating Instructor
The impact to your school will be minimal:
These roles will not be available in my.harvard.
These roles will not be visible to students and instructors at other schools.
You will see these roles listed in the Admin Console and on the Permissions page, as are all roles available in Canvas.
