“No one has a right to sit down and feel hopeless.
There is too much work to do.”
As we continue to live in these difficult days: with a pandemic which perplexes and causes so much pain and worry and disruption, with the continuing struggle to be a more just and equitable society in which all are cherished and respected, and in which the sins of racism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and any other prejudice or phobias are wiped out – it is easy to feel hopeless!
But we are believers in Jesus Christ! By His life we know there can be hope for a better future. As our Family of Four Parishes continues to PRAY, LEARN, ACT, we will help the world by being a force of HOPE!
So let’s all do something different this week that shows we are on the side of hope. One little thing. Pray and Christ will tell you what to do! Soon little things done by all of us individually become a magnificent unfolding of the Holy Spirit when taken together as a community!
Archbishop Listecki has extended the dispensation from the Sunday Mass obligation through September 6.
In August, we will continue to celebrate one public Mass on Saturday and one public Mass on Sunday, rotating through our Family of Four Parishes. The YouTube Mass on the Family of Four Parishes YouTube channel will remain the primary Mass for those who do not attend an in person Mass.
Registration for in person Masses through the parish website will open on the Monday morning prior to the Mass. We ask that Monday and Tuesday registration continue to be reserved for parishioners of the parish at which the Mass will be celebrated. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, we invite members of any of our four parishes to register for the remaining seats.

Video Mass for Sunday July 26th. Here is the recorded Mass celebrated by Fr. Tim for this upcoming Sunday (the 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time). We provide a worship aid to help you better enter into the prayer of the Mass. Please know that we will continue these recorded Masses indefinitely. We are so grateful to DV Productions, our Liturgists Mary Robertson and Brian Eggers, and our music ministers for their efforts in making our prayer as beautiful as possible.
Update from Catholic East Elementary. There are still a limited number of seats available for the 2020-2021 school year. We are so pleased to have you and your child(ren) as part of our Catholic East family! We would like to have more just like you! Don’t forget to recommend us to family and friends who are looking for a richly diverse school environment for their child(ren), one that promotes the pursuit of academic excellence, nurtures strong moral development, and fosters lifelong learning through living out the Gospel values. Click here and share our information regarding enrollment and a preview of our school. For more information or to enroll, contact us at (414) 964-1770, Mondays through Thursdays, 10:00am through 1:30pm, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Virtual Food Drive. We know that our parishioners are incredibly dedicated to supporting the ongoing ministry of the Riverwest Food Pantry. Although the pandemic has required the cancellation of all food drives for RWFP (including the physical donation of the “Item of the Week” at our parish Masses), we would like to support the Community of Generosity with a Virtual Food Drive! Instead of purchasing your Item of the Week and bringing it with you to Mass, all you have to do is visit https://yougivegoods.com/rwfp-familyoffourparishes-fooddrive, click on your parish, and then SHOP! It really is that easy… and will have a lasting impact on supporting the needs of our neighbors! We have set our first goal at 1500 pounds of food for the first month of this food drive, so let’s see what we can do! Thank you for your generous giving!! If you have any questions about this food drive, please contact Laura Hancock at email@example.com.
UWM Panther Catholic Center. Fr. Andrew Infanger, Director of UWM’s Panther Catholic Newman Center, is looking for help with preparing for fall. (You may remember him as a seminarian and deacon in our Family of Four Parishes.) To volunteer or get more information go to www.panthercatholic.com/help.
Parish Financial Support. We continue to be humbled by your financial support of the parish during these tender and tenuous times. Thank you so much, it has been amazing to witness the generosity of so many! Please mail in your envelopes and contributions to our parish office (SS Peter & Paul Parish, 2491 N Murray Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53211), and our parish staff will process these.
Please do not hesitate to contact me (cell: 414-762-7986; firstname.lastname@example.org) or our dear Associate Pastor, Fr. John (cell: 414-305-3824; email@example.com). Please know of our love, support, prayers as you live your faith!
Sincerely, with love,
