Are you a die-hard slow-cooker fan? A slow-cooker appreciator? A person who wishes she put her slow cooker to more regular use? However you use a slow cooker, these five recipes will make you happy.
Yes, many of us have come to love our Instant Pots. But my slow cooker is bigger than my Instant Pot—so when I’m cooking for a multitude or just making a big old batch of something, I reach for my slow cooker.
Here's a summation of the best reason to have and to use a slow cooker:
When you open the door to your home at the end of a long day, you may not be thinking about dinner, much less remembering that you had prepared something in the slow cooker that morning. As you open your door and step over the threshold you might say to yourself, "Oh, wow, something smells amazing! Who is responsible for this incredible aroma? Pork is probably the meat I cook most often in the slow cooker. Pulled pork is such a great party food, and you can make a LOT in a sizable slow cooker. You may be surprised to see that this version is made with pork loin, instead of butt or shoulder, but that's the beauty of the slow cooker—the low-and-slow cooking can make any cut of meat fall-apart tender and delicious.
