View this email in your browser
So apparently the days are getting longer. But when I woke up to a pitch-black sky outside at 7:00 this morning, you could have fooled me. It’s solidly dark outI mean how much daylight do we really need to save? Are we hoarding daylight? Was there a run on daylight and I missed it?

Enough whining. The good news
: It’s soup and stew and roast season. Mixed in with best intentions for eating better in the New Year. But you know what they say about roads paved with good intentions . . . they can lead to all sorts of places.

And that brings us to . . .

Pernil!

This Puerto Rican pork shoulder recipe is an amazing party dish. What’s that? Party season is over? Oh, no, you haven’t been to a game day at our place. This gorgeous fall-apart hunk of pork is the perfect thing for feeding a crowd on a cold winter evening.
