In the event you’ve never considered a salad of thinly sliced raw Brussels sprouts, please accept this engraved invite to do so—it’s one of my favorite ways to eat one of my favorite vegetables. (Also a plug for this other shaved Brussels sprouts slaw.)
I make three of these every year for Thanksgiving. I bring two to my mom’s and squirrel away one of them in the back of the fridge for everyone in my house to eat for breakfast the next day. Pie for breakfast is one of life’s greatest holiday gifts.
Once everyone has had that second—or possibly third—go-round with Thanksgiving leftovers in their original incarnation . . . well, something else needs to happen. This, in my opinion, is one of the best things that you can do with leftover turkey.
