Congratulations to Fall 2018 Grads!
We are proud to announce that our team continues to grow in knowledge and skills.  Several members of our Jewels family received their degrees this past semester!  Congratulations to all of them for their hard work and dedication to STEM!

Our Executive Director, Kimberly Wayne, is the heart and soul of Jewels Academy and has inspired countless young women to pursue STEM careers.  She received her Doctorate in Education Leadership from Drake University.

Cindy Nguyen has been with the organization since she was a junior in high school and completed her  Bachelors of Science degree in Geology from Iowa State University in 3.5 years.

Janice Christopher, the program manager for Young Emerging Scientists (Y.E.S.), received her Bachelors of Science in Construction Engineering with an emphasis in electrical engineering from Iowa State University.  It is never too late to pursue higher education!

Dr. Maria Joseph-King, the Math Camp Program Coordinator and member of Board of Directors, was the ISU Graduate College's Keynote Speaker at their annual GMAP (Graduate Minority Assistantship Program) Symposium.
We would also like to thank all the parents, volunteers, and sponsors who have made it possible for young women to pursue their interests in STEM.  Our theme for 2019 is B.E. in 2019.  Build and Expand programming in 2019!
