The year of 2019 for Jewels was a defining year. We reached 2,800 students in five community events in Central Iowa. Each student that visited our tables, walked away with a feeling of accomplishment because of completing a project. We take pride in creating a nurturing and encouraging environment for the students through their connection with our STEM professionals, and peer mentors. Did you know that 100% of our peer mentors continue onward to pursue-secondary education? There were 21 peer mentors since the inception of the program in 2014, and 75% of them are pursuing or have obtained a STEM degree. We are a long-term STEM enrichment organization and our niche is serving young women, and staying connected with them through college.

Moving Forward to 2020
Through our strategy planning session with Baton Global, our goals are clear and our key performance indicators are defined.
Where can you help us?
1. Our immediate need is to provide transportation to our students. We have a van, and need a driver when our workshops are in session. If you know of anyone, please have them email their interest at firstname.lastname@example.org.
2. Our second need, would be a part-time year round, program manager to increase capacity of our programming. If you know of someone, please email us per above.
3. Lastly, our 2020 goal is to increase enrollment from 71 students to 126 students. If you want to sow into rich soil, that yields a ROI within the community, consider Jewels Academy.
