What is STEM? We use the phrase STEM quite a bit.  What is it and what does it mean? STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.  This phrase originated a few years ago to help raise awareness about educating our young people to get jobs and strengthen the US economy and make us more competitive internationally.  We also see STEAM used which is the same with the A standing for arts.
