Together, We Can.
On April 22nd, the Black and Brown Business Summit hosted by the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce ended with motivation.  The Black and Brown Business Summit was created by national stakeholders to elevate ethnic minorities and bring BIPOC businesses together to assist with connection building, programming, promotion, training, and to provide resources to help businesses grow and prosper. Pictures here are the proceeds from the West Des Moines Chamber fundraiser! We will share the proceeds with the long-standing NAACP Des Moines branch.
A Bright Future in STEM.
In our campaign t-shirt design, the message makes one think, what does a scientist, technologist, engineer, or mathematician look like? We want young girls and women to know they look just like them, no matter their background or experiences. JEWELS represents Joining Emerging Women Excelling in Leadership and STEM. These emerging women represent our future and if they grasp the knowledge that they can excel in women-underrepresented careers, they will do just fine. One day, it will not be a rarity, but the norm. We look forward to that day!

New JA Website!

We are excited about the new design of our new website, www.jewelsacademy.org, (Thank you Emerge Marketing Solutions Team)! The new website will create ease for the families we serve and prepare us for growth. When time permits, check out the news tab, and the Wall of Brilliance! This is why we do, what we do!
