Hello and welcome to the FIRST EDITION of our new seasonal newsletter from Martin Grant Homes, to keep you up to date with our latest news and developments. We hope you’ll take the time to read it and we would welcome your feedback.

WE NEED YOUR LAND!

Throughout 2016 we'll continue to seek opportunities to increase our land portfolio, with both small and large scale sites suitable for development being considered.  

We are currently seeking sites suitable for 9 - 40 homes, with or without planning permission, within a 30 mile radius of our offices in Abinger Hammer, near Dorking in Surrey. If you believe you have an appropriate site, whether it's brownfield or greenfield, get in touch with the Land Team.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

To give you a feel for the range of developments we are involved in, we are very proud to present two examples of our most recent projects:

Location: Cuckfield, West Sussex
Size: 5.4 acres
Number of houses: 14
Team: Immediate Land

Arbor Walk is a great example of one of the smaller developments brought forward by Martin Grant Homes' Immediate Land Team. Consisting of 14 homes, of two, three and four bedrooms and located in the picturesque and highly sought-after Cuckfield, Arbor Walk is a fine example of the aspirational properties and developments Martin Grant Homes is renowned for.  

Located in a prime area - with the benefit of being close to Haywards Heath Station, allowing residents to easily commute to London or Brighton - Arbor Walk represents the type of desirable development opportunity that we are seeking.

Team: Strategic Land

At the other end of the spectrum, our Strategic Land Team is delighted that Buckton Fields has now launched, following a challenging and extensive campaign to secure planning permission for the site.

Working in partnership with Bloor Homes, Martin Grant Homes is delivering 188 homes within this strategic urban extension to the north of Northampton. The development also includes a primary school and a range of other community amenities.

Martin Grant Homes also worked with transport consultants to produce a local transport plan, leading to an agreed investment in transport infrastructure totalling in excess of £2.6 million.

CHERRY TREES DONATION

We've always supported charities local to our headquarters. Last year employees raised nearly £5,000 for the charity Cherry Trees - an organisation that provides respite care for children and young people with severe learning and physical disabilities.  We look forward to presenting Cherry Trees with a cheque in the coming weeks.

MEET THE TEAM

Andrew Wilson

When did you join the team?
1 January 1985

What are your responsibilities?
Overall management of land acquisitions, strategic land and promoting strategic sites though the planning system.

Who else is on the team? 
Matt Woods, Senior Land Manager, joined the team in 2012 and is responsible for all ‘Immediate’ site acquisitions which are those which can deliver housing within 3+ years.  These are typically sites which either have planning permission or can expect to achieve planning permission within 12 months.

Meanwhile Haydn Payne, Senior Strategic Planning Manager, focuses on strategic land. This includes the identification, appraisal and acquisition of new opportunities and the promotion of the firm’s existing portfolio of strategic land through the application process. He also provides planning input on Immediate Land sites.

Our graduates, Matt Roberts and Isabella Holt, support the Strategic Land Team by identifying and promoting our sites.

Steph Uijerts is my PA and Mandy Tyrrell is PA to both Matt and Haydn.
