Message from our Executive Director


Dear CESBA members and friends,

As you know, we continue to work during an international health crisis that is moving into a second wave. The social, emotional, financial, physical and environmental effects of this crisis will be felt for years to come.
 
During this difficult time, staff, board and ministry representatives have been very impressed with our sector's ability to move quickly from face-to-face learning to virtual classrooms. A&CE staff are demonstrating their incredible resilience by using every tool possible to try to ensure the learning continues during this crisis – and including as many of our students as possible.

Registration is now open for CESBA’s virtual conference, Inclusion 2020: Moving Forward TogetherNovember 25-26. At CESBA 2020, you will learn from sector leaders and engage with peers across Ontario and beyond.

If you have not renewed yet for 2020-2021, we will send you a final email notice next week. Due to COVID-19, we extended the renewal date to September. Rates will now increase after Fri., Oct. 9. If you do not receive it, it may be in your spam folder or addressed to a previous staff member of your board. Please follow up with Ananda at aumar@cesba.com

You may pay online, by EFT or by cheque. If you would like to pay by cheque and are concerned we will not receive it by mail in time, please email Ananda at as soon as possible to let us know it is coming shortly and we will honour the current rate.

Lifetime Achievement Award Nominations


We are seeking nominees for the second annual CESBA Lifetime Achievement Award. Last year's recipient was Len Noens (LCDSB). Submit this form by Fri., Oct. 9 (extended) to nominate a peer who has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to adult and continuing education in Ontario throughout their career. The award will be announced on Nov. 26 at the conference.

October Events


Next month, we have three online regional meetings to connect with colleagues and get updates from CESBA and the ministry – East on Oct. 15, Central on Oct. 22 and West on Oct. 23. We look forward to connecting with our members in the North in January. We also have a virtual OnSIS and Funding workshop with three of our expert members. They will offer comprehensive information about OnSIS and leave time for questions. To learn more about all of our events, visit www.cesba.com/calendar
