The Journey Home is a sacred journey with a sacred destination. It begins and ends with the internal and eternal home. The external home is always temporary.

I left my home base in the San Francisco Bay Area after 16 years. (You can read my gratitude for my time in SF here.) For the last month, I’ve been adventuring through the Southwest. TRAVEL has always been one of my go-to medicines. It’s taught me to let go of my attachment to places, people, things, cultures and ways of being. And it’s also been a sacrifice. I’ve given up security in the form of a home, a long-term relationship and a paycheck. With the medicine of travel, I digger deeper into what matters authentically to me, shedding the conditioning, the old roles I thought I had to play in order to “make it” in this world. As I open to experience new places, people, and cultures, I discover who I am and who I am not.
Everywhere I go in the world, NATURE is there. Even in the cities, a bird, a squirrel, a tree, a cloud, or the shining sun is there. I seek out her medicine, taking time to connect and listen. Nature, in her beauty, power and ever-changing life force, offers me a pure reflection of who I am. She reminds me that at the center of my being, I am always at peace and in harmony with all that is. She offers her support through her elements, her plants, her animals, and her dynamic energy. I feel more centered and at home, knowing I who I am in my natural way of being, in touch with my own inspiration.

NATURE also shows me my fears and my shadows. Fears of losing precious life- my own or my furry best friend's - are triggered by encounters with the truly wild wildlife (coyotes, bears, rattlesnakes, and mountain lions) and forces of Mother Nature (desert heat, flash floods, and earthquakes).
While I sit on the canyon of the Rio Grande, I am half a mile from the birthplace and creation of the world’s first atomic bomb. The darkness of what was birthed here nearly 75 years ago is palpable. Still today, remnants of weaponry dot the landscape and toxic contaminants leach into the groundwater. Reflected is man’s shadow - a lack of respect for the land and the people to come (not to mention the unthinkable weapons of mass destruction used to destroy life on the other side of the world). This shadow is also my shadow -where in my being have I forgotten the impact of my actions on the earth and on others. Lately, I've been reminded of my use of plastic. I once was a hard-core environmentalist shunning plastic everywhere I went, to now noticing my laziness in the name of convenience, while knowing the damage it causes to our Earth. Darkness and unconscious shadow exists within us all, and it’s our job bring it to light and clean it up.
As I walk this journey, the medicine of CEREMONY quietly guides my every moment. To me, CEREMONY is a personal experience of dropping into a place of connection with one’s true essence and with the nature of everything. Ceremony is falling into our natural way of being, in connection and consciousness with life, with intention, awareness, gratitude and consideration for all. I was recently inspired by "Every Act a Ceremony" by Charles Eisenstein. He says "A ceremony is...a practice for all of life, a practice in doing everything just as it should be done. ... it is a prayer that asks, “May everything I do be a ceremony. May I do everything with full attention, full care, and full respect for what it serves.”
On this journey home, everything has potential to become a ceremony. My hiking turns into a ceremony in honor of Mother Earth and her medicines. My driving across the desert turns into a ceremony in honor of freedom, exploration and letting go.

"Ceremony offers a glimpse of a sacred destination, the destination of:

Every act a ceremony.

Every word a prayer.

Every walk a pilgrimage.

Every place a shrine."

-Charles Eisenstein
We are always on a journey home to our true nature, our sacred destination. What are your medicines to guide you and show you the way? What reminds you of who you are?

As we forage into new frontiers of our own consciousness, may we be blessed with infinite support.

Are you working with some of Nature's most powerful medicines? In recent years, the popularity of these medicines have risen, as the potential impact they can have on healing everything from depression and anxiety to PTSD and trauma is becoming more widely known.

Many of these medicines have helped guide me on my path - especially ayahuasca, master plant dietas, tobacco, kambo, and huachuma- and this work is very dear to my heart.

SACRED MEDICINE COACHING is more than coaching. It takes many forms, depending on the individual. The relationship with these medicines is about teaching and healing. I can act as an intermediary or a guide in assisting the healing and energetic transformations that arise from these relationships. I act as a supporter, pointing you to access your own wisdom and the wisdom of the medicines. In coaching, I can help you:
  • Prepare by clarifying intentions for entering into relationship/experience with Nature's powerful medicines
  • Deepen your connection with the medicines (during and after the ceremony)
  • Develop a life-long relationship with the medicine teacher that you can trust and rely on
  • Listen to the subtle and not-so-subtle messages and guidance for healing and direction
  • Apply and integrate teachings directly into your daily life
  • Deepen your understanding of universal teachings rooted in spiritual traditions that can arise in the medicine relationship
  • Strengthen your connection to your higher self
  • Clear old energetic patterns that are no longer useful on your path
If you think this type of support could benefit you and your work with sacred medicines, please schedule an introductory call. I'd love to be of service to you in this way.
