UW–Madison rolls out electric-powered mowers

The new electric fleet was supported by Physical Plant and the Green Fund and offers operators and campus users a quieter, greener experience of lawn care.

To kick off Season 3 of the SustainUW Podcast, host Hannah Schilling explores the implications of major climate news with Corbett Grainger, Associate Professor of Agricultural & Applied Economics, and Howard Schweber, Professor of Political Science. 
 
During the two-day event at UW–Green Bay, attendees toured the host campus, participated in strategic planning activities, and explored opportunities for statewide collaboration.
Narayani Varanasi and members of the Social Sustainability Coalition recap their experience reading the Go Big Read book for 2022 and attending the event featuring author Clint Smith.  

Getting Climate Change Data into Engineering Design: It’s Complicated

As part of the Weston Roundtable Series, hear from the Infrastructure Working Group at the Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change Impacts. They have been communicating research results on climate data, construction materials and how to use new approaches to designers and policymakers who want to implement infrastructure projects that address climate change.
