New program works to green campus workspaces
After a pilot last fall, the Office of Sustainability's Green Office Certification Program is now recruiting campus offices that want to better understand the impacts of their actions and create healthy and sustainable work environments.

The Nature Conservancy is offering a one-year fellowship to work on ecosystem service analysis and research related to water conservation strategies in Wisconsin. Application deadline is March 6.
Assistant planner – Appleton, WI
Hoffmann Planning, Design & Construction, Inc., is seeking a planner to provide technical and administrative assistance for landscape architecture/land planning and sustainable services. Application deadline is March 15.

PROFESSIONAL

Sustainability analyst – Omaha, NE
Verdis Group is seeking an analyst to handle data analysis, sustainability consulting, project management, and communications. Application deadline is not listed.
Economist – Boston, MA
The Environmental Defense Fund is seeking a climate and land use modeler with research experience to help shape policy and support advocacy on issues at the intersection of land use and climate. Application deadline is not listed.

OPPORTUNITIES

Lakeshore Nature Preserve grants
Small grants (up to $1000 each) are available for undergraduates or faculty/staff working with undergraduates to use the Preserve for educational purposes. Application deadline is March 1.
Madison Mini Maker Faire
Applications are open for a special “UW Badger Makers” section at an upcoming day-long event celebrating making of all kinds, including research, green tech, art, and more. Application deadline is March 31.
