Badger Volunteers registration open
With more than 20 sustainability-related community partners, Badger Volunteers is a perfect way to get involved this semester. Registration for fall 2015 will be open September 4-10.
Water resources program turns 50
The Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies' Water Resources Management program is celebrating a half-century of helping Wisconsin communities solve water problems.
Wisconsin Energy Institute introduces "Power Points"
The Power Points newsletter is a new forum for sharing announcements, meetings, papers, research and commentary focused on rethinking the electrical grid.

UW Organic Ag Field Day

Waukesha's plan for Lake Michigan raises concerns
Faced with contamination in Waukesha's aquifer, city authorities looked to nearby Lake Michigan. The request is now testing a landmark 2008 compact that requires approval from the governors of all eight states that touch the lake.
H&M offers prize for clothes recycling ideas
The world's second-largest fashion retailer is launching a new effort to promote recycling and address looming shortages of raw materials by offering an annual $1 million prize for new clothing recycling techniques.
