Sustainability Spotlight


Students to mobilize for City of Monona in new partnership
Monona will participate in the inaugural "UniverCity Year" project, which will mobilize students enrolled in more than a dozen university courses to work on priority issues including housing, transportation, parks and broadband infrastructure. 

The project is an outgrowth of a campus-wide project called the UniverCity Alliance.

The newly developed Wisconsin Pollinator Protection Plan provides information and recommendations designed to support at-risk pollinator populations around the state.

UW's artist in residence, Amy Franceschini, creates work looking at the perceived conflict between nature and culture.
Campus collaborates to study 3-D printing with recycled plastics
Assistant professor Natalie Rudolph is studying the feasibility of a 3-D printing material made from 100 percent recycled waste with support from an Office of Sustainability SIRE grant.
