Environmental Protection Agency official will keynote 2015 Energy Summit
Susan Hedman, a UW–Madison alum and regional administrator for the EPA, will deliver the keynote lecture at the 2015 Energy Summit. Hedman’s talk will kick off a day-long, multifaceted discussion of air quality as it relates to energy, including a plenary session on the new Clean Power Plan.

Early-bird registration ends Sept. 13.

What's New at UW?

Students compete to design campus garden
Allen Centennial Gardens is launching a design competition for student teams to vie for the opportunity to execute their winning design in the garden during the spring. Students can learn more at a kick-off meeting on September 9.
Join a fall MOOC discussion group
Enrollment is open for discussion groups for two massive open online courses (MOOCs): Forests and Humans and Climate Change Policy and Public Health. The sessions are free and open to all UW community members.
Sustainable nanotechnology center lands new contract
The UW–Madison-based Center for Sustainable Nanotechnology will receive nearly $20 million in support from the National Science Foundation over the next five years. The center explores using nanoparticles in emerging technologies with minimal environmental impact.
