Sustainable urban design conference underway in China
From June 16 to 20, the UW–Madison Office of Sustainability is leading a workshop and business delegation in the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Ningbo. Representatives of the university and numerous U.S. and Chinese companies will showcase unique business assets and opportunities that integrate with China's five-year development plan, which focuses heavily on environmental protection and sustainability.

New institute to catalyze redefinition of UW engineering research enterprise
A new trans-disciplinary research institute in the UW–Madison College of Engineering will drive technological advances that will enhance the success of U.S. industries and spur economic growth.
